Un grande appuntamento europeo dedicato alla rigenerazione urbana tra natura, innovazione e cittadinanza attiva.

 

A otto mesi esatti dall’inizio delle Olimpiadi Invernali di Milano Cortina 2026, Green City Italia, l’associazione fondata da Andreas Kipar e oggi punto di riferimento nazionale per le politiche del verde urbano, celebra i suoi 15 anni con un evento speciale dedicato alla transizione ecologica delle città.

 

Il 6 giugno 2025, a partire dalle ore 9:00 presso Piazza Città di Lombardia (Palazzo Lombardia, Milano), si terrà l’European Green City Forum, organizzato in collaborazione con Regione Lombardia.

 

Sarà una giornata di confronto internazionale che riunirà esperti, accademici, amministratori locali e rappresentanti delle reti Green Cities europee per discutere soluzioni concrete su:

 

• rigenerazione urbana sostenibile

• depavimentazione e restituzione del suolo

• biodiversità e infrastrutture verdi

• partecipazione attiva e cittadinanza ecologica

• modelli replicabili a scala regionale

 

L’evento prevede 5 panel tematici con ospiti da tutta Europa, una mostra dedicata ai progetti più innovativi promossi in Lombardia, e momenti informali di dialogo, come il Green Aperitivo conclusivo.

 

Tra gli obiettivi principali: valorizzare le buone pratiche, favorire nuove alleanze tra territori e accendere i riflettori sul ruolo chiave delle città nella lotta alla crisi climatica.
Un’occasione unica per una vera e propria "Olimpiade del Verde", in cui l’unico vincitore sarà la Natura.

 

La partecipazione al Forum darà inoltre la possibilità di richiedere crediti formativi professionali per gli ordini coinvolti.

A major European gathering on urban regeneration, nature, innovation and civic participation.

 

Exactly eight months before the opening of the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Green City Italia – the association founded by Andreas Kipar, now celebrating its 15th anniversary – invites you to a special event on the ecological transition of cities.

 

On 6 June 2025, starting from 9:00 AM, the European Green City Forum will take place at Piazza Città di Lombardia (Palazzo Lombardia, Milan), in collaboration with the Lombardy Region.

 

The Forum will bring together international experts, academics, local authorities and leading European Green Cities networks to share ideas and concrete experiences on:

 

• sustainable urban regeneration

• depaving and soil restoration

• biodiversity and green infrastructure

• participatory processes and active citizenship

• replicable models at regional scale

 

The programme includes five thematic panels, an exhibition featuring the most innovative regeneration projects from Lombardy, and informal networking moments such as the closing Green Aperitivo.

 

The Forum aims to highlight best practices, strengthen interregional cooperation, and place cities at the centre of the response to the climate crisis.
A symbolic edition of the “Green Olympics” – where Nature is the true winner.

 

Participation in the Forum will also offer the opportunity to request professional training credits, in accordance with the regulations of the relevant professional bodies.
